ROLE IN A NUTSHELL As the Design Assistant, you will play a key role in the design and production process across Sports brands Lonsdale and Umbro. Working closely with the Designers, Design Manager and Account Managers, this position supports the delivery of high-quality, on-brand solutions that meet customer expectations and align with budget goals. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Monitor product submissions of lab dips, print strike offs, trim qualities, fit samples, and fabric qualities within required production time allocated for the approval process Supporting with administrative tasks and submissions Creation of art/tech packs and input into a PLM system Liaise with factories and internal parties regarding problem solving and design approvals, ensuring your product meets your desired final outcomes. Assist with sketching garment shapes (CAD), selecting suitable fabrications, and trend and seasonal forecasting. Maintain and update files and production as required Coordinating sourcing of fabrics and trims related to product designed. Liaise with QA techs on fit and styling throughout production process. Including Fit, Pre-Production and Shipment sampling stages. Assist with designing range books for buyer meetings or range presentations. Ensure any sample required are delivered on time. Assist Designer/ Design Manager/ Account Manager with meeting preparations ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will come with: 1 to 2 years industry experience Demonstrated experience in Sports Licensing desirable Skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Proficient in design Textile/ garment construction/ pattern making knowledge Garment manufacturing knowledge or experience Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Graphic Design, or related discipline Demonstrated working experience in a similar role within the fashion industry Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work to tight deadlines Strong eye for product JUST SOME PERKS WE OFFER Pet-friendly workspace – Yes, your furry friend can join you at work!
