What are we looking for? Our Land Rights, Disputes & Advisory practice is now seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to support our team in Melbourne on a permanent full time basis. Our team is conducting significant work across the fields of Native Title, First Nations other Not For Profit advice, Compulsory Acquisition, Environment and other dispute work. Your work would be predominantly supporting work in our First Nations practice, but include work across all practice areas. Our compulsory acquisition team represents claimants around the country. Experience in a general litigation practice will be highly valued. Our practice offers a wide variety of opportunities for experience in both dispute and advisory work in a growing practice. You will be working with a Support Team Leader to develop skills and assist in the management of the practice. Your duties and responsibilities will include: File administration Communicating with clients and other professionals Generating & editing correspondence Compiling court documents Managing calendars Finance tasks including billing and payments What will you bring? To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will ideally possess the following: A diploma and/or experience in the legal field, particularly with litigation experience. Experience with Microsoft office suite and other practice management systems Exceptional communication and customer service Excellent attention to detail Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment A willingness to learn What next?
