About the Role We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Interior Designer to take on a key leadership role as Second-in-Charge (2IC) to the Design Leader. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects, mentor junior designers, and contribute to high-level design strategy and execution. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage interior design projects from concept to completion Collaborate with the Design Leader to guide project direction, manage design resources, and uphold quality standards Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, layouts, and detailed documentation Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and suppliers for seamless project delivery Participate in client briefings and design presentations Stay abreast of industry trends, sustainability practices, and emerging materials Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support their development Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture Minimum of 6 years' experience in commercial interior design, ideally focused on workplace fit-outs A strong portfolio demonstrating creative flair and technical skill Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office In-depth understanding of building codes, documentation, and construction processes Excellent communication and client-facing skills Experience in a leadership or mentorship role within a design studio Why This Opportunity?
