Job Summary: The Restaurant and Bar Attendant at The Lyall Hotel is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in our dining and bar areas. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate is mandatory for this position. Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer Service: • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. • Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests. • Handle customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and courteously. 2. Beverage Service: • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Including all the cocktails on the menu. • Ensure compliance with RSA regulations at all times. 3. Bar and Dining Area Maintenance: • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas. • Set up and close down the restaurant/bar as required. • Daily, Weekly and Monthly stock take as required. 4. Payment Processing: • Process payments and operate the cash register accurately. • Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. 5. Team Collaboration: • Work closely with kitchen and front Office to ensure smooth service. Including delivery room service or VIP amenities when required. • Assist with other duties as required by the Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Duty Manager or management. Requirements: • Must hold a valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate. • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. • A positive attitude and a team player.
