Strong focus on continuous improvement and drafting development Design & detail structural steel connections; beam to beam, beam to column, fram Mechanical Design, producing piping and rotational designs, P&ID's, conveyors The Client and you: Established 30 years ago, a growing manufacturing company requires a Multi-Skilled Design Draftsperson or Design Engineer to join their Team. This position would suit a Multi-Skilled Draftsperson or a Design Engineer with a passion for Design and at least 5 years’ 3D structural and mechanical design and drafting experience. Applicants applying will have a passion for R&D, new product development, and continuous improvement. You will be used to working autonomously and as part of a team. This is a multi-faceted role that will involve plant layout design, mechanical 2d, and 3d piping and P&ID design, small and large tanks, skids, and more. Structural work will involve frame designs and walkways. The role will also involve design changes and 3d modifications, revisiting existing designs. Key responsibilities: Provide the sales team with technical support on projects so that they can go back to their clients with the correct project information Strong focus on continuous improvement and drafting development Create 3D structural steel fabrication models, metalwork and steel assembly designs Generate structural drafts for local infrastructure projects, medium to large machinery, complexed structures, shop drawings Design & detail structural steel connections; beam to beam, beam to column, frames, walkways, test rigs Mechanical Design, producing piping and rotational designs, P&ID’s, conveyors 3d design and drafts using mainly Inventor, but occasionally operating MicroStation and ProSteel 3D CAD packages Learn about material estimation and control of bills of materials Report and present project analysis within design reviews Attend site trips as and when required To be a successful fit for this full-time/permanent role, you will have: A Degree or TAFE 5 years’ experience within Structural and Mechanical Design Team player and passionate about 3D design A stay in role, you’ll be happy here for 5 years If you would like to discuss the position, please send your CV to the link.
