About the Job SA Water is seeking a Construction Technical Officer to support the T2D (Torrens to Darlington) project, a key piece of infrastructure for Adelaide. This site-based role focuses on ensuring construction activities meet SA Water’s technical and regulatory standards. You’ll provide hands-on support across complex construction programs, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and collaboration. About Sustainable Infrastructure The Sustainable Infrastructure group is dedicated to maximising value for customers and the community by developing innovative and optimised infrastructure plans, and overseeing the planning, construction, delivery, and maintenance of water and sewerage assets across the state and business. Your responsibilities for this opportunity Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. You will: Provide technical oversight and on-site support during construction activities, including site supervision and contractor interface Ensure compliance with Blue Book and Red Book standards, SA Water Technical Standards, and regulatory obligations Monitor progress and variations, contributing to schedule forecasting and claim management Attend contractor site meetings to represent SA Water’s interests and provide informed guidance Use systems such as InEight, Team Binder, and iAuditor to track quality, safety, and performance Provide input into product selection and updates to technical standards Your success in this role will come from: Experience with and knowledge of information and document management systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated success developing partnerships with business units. Extensive experience analysing document management systems, schematics and practices in a large government or commercial organisations. Ability to work across a large range of stakeholder and be able to manage conflicting priorities.
