About the Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance teams across two processing facilities in Paramatta Creek in Tasmania and Ingleburn in NSW. This high impact leadership role will be responsible for driving maintenance strategy, overseeing a $2m repairs and maintenance budget, and supporting the delivery of major capital projects exceeding $20m in value. With a focus on safety, food quality compliance, and continuous improvement, this is a pivotal role withing the Processing Leadership Team. What you’ll do Lead and coordinate maintenance activities across both sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and minimal disruption to operations. Manage and optimise the $2m repairs and maintenance budget. Provide strategic input into capital works projects, including capex development and commissioning support. Drive preventative maintenance programs and engineering support systems. Lead, guide and support maintenance managers, planners and supervisors across a 24/7 operational model. Ensure strict compliance with GMP, hygiene and food safety protocols. Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Develop and manage relationships with contractors, including negotiating engineering service contracts. Report directly to the General Managers of Processing and contribute to senior leadership strategy and reporting. About you You are an inspiring leader with a hands-on approach and a strong strategic and technical mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing long term planning with day-to-day operational oversight. What you will bring Degree in Engineering or Trade Certificate with 10 years in a maintenance/engineering leadership role. Proven success in FMCG or manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of GMP. Strong project management and problem-solving skills. Exceptional people and leadership, mentoring and team development capability. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Business acumen with experience in budgeting and stakeholder management. Confidence in managing multiple concurrent engineering projects and priorities.
