The Statutory Insurance Victoria team is based in Melbourne and is comprised of approximately 65 team members. We are a high performing team that acts for a large number of employers in the management of workers' compensation claims and litigation. We also have a thriving recoveries practice. The successful candidate will be someone who is energetic, eager to learn and committed to providing a high-level service to our lawyers and clients. The opportunity plays a key role in assisting with files, liaising with various stakeholders, and ensuring smooth day-to-day processes in a fast-paced litigation practice. You will be involved in: drafting of general correspondence and court documents; arranging medical examinations and draft letters to specialists; arranging investigation and expert reports and draft correspondence to specialist providers; assisting with preparation of mediations and hearings; liaising with medical providers and other organisations to obtain relevant material; preparing settlement documents; ensuring compliance with client requirements; updating internal and client databases; diarising key event dates and managing the diary of lawyers; general accounts work including payment of provider invoices and reconciliation; other duties as required. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: confident using multiple computer programs; strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy; highly organised with excellent communication skills; ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment and perform to deadlines; demonstrates everyday proactivity and initiative; and a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
