Bar Attendant The Bar Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The role ensures a high level of presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency behind the bar, while creating a friendly and engaging guest experience. Key Duties: Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages Recommend drinks to customers and provide beverage pairing suggestions Set up and close the bar area, including cleaning and restocking supplies Process customer payments and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems Maintain bar cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible service of alcohol (RSA) practices Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory checks Engage with customers in a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable manner Requirements: Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II with at least one year of relevant work experience; OR hold an AQF Certificate III with one year of post-qualification experience (20 hours/week); Alternatively, at least one year of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. RSA certificate required. Waiter Supervisor The Waiter Supervisor leads the front-of-house service team to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service across all shifts. This role supervises staff, manages reservations, assists in cash handling, and supports the restaurant manager in daily operations. Key Duties: Supervise and train wait staff in food and beverage service standards Manage table allocations, bookings, and guest flow Take food and beverage orders, liaise with kitchen and bar teams Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests Oversee POS operations, cash handling, and end-of-shift reconciliation Monitor stock levels for service areas and assist with ordering Maintain presentation and cleanliness of the dining area Assist in staff rostering and shift supervision Ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with service protocols Requirements: Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II with at least one year of relevant work experience; OR hold an AQF Certificate III with one year of post-qualification experience (20 hours/week); Alternatively, at least one year of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. This role supports the kitchen team in maintaining quality, consistency, and hygiene while ensuring timely delivery of meals during busy service periods. Key Duties: Examine and select ingredients to ensure freshness and quality Regulate temperatures of cooking equipment and monitor preparation times Cook and plate meals according to established recipes and standards Portion dishes, apply sauces and garnishes, and present food attractively Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments Prepare meals for special dietary needs as required Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen May assist in planning menus and estimating food quantities May train apprentices or junior kitchen staff Requirements: Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III (including two years of on-the-job training); OR hold an AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant work experience; Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
