About the role The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3–5-year-olds. Unlike a typical Early Learning Centre, we are open for 50 weeks in a year, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Location : Waitara, NSW (close walk from Waitara train station) Role is : Casual Award level : CSA 3.1 Above award level Days/ Times : Monday to Friday, working between 7am to 6pm Opportunities in the future to be able to move from casual to a permanent position. Duties Assisting the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3–5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework. Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children. Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. Working with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations Establishing and maintaining good relationships with families. Requirements Completion of CHCPRT025 ‘Identify & report children & young people at risk’ Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
