As they continue to grow, they are now seeking a Legal Counsel to join their high-performing team and contribute to the company’s ongoing success and the shaping of Australia’s future communities. About the role Our client is looking for an ambitious and proactive Legal Counsel to support the General Counsel and the business. In this role, you will provide strategic legal advice across real estate, corporate, construction, finance, and general commercial matters. You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of legal documents including finance documents, support the successful completion of development transactions, and assist with off-the-plan sales (OTP) and settlements as needed. Additionally, you will advise on and assist in resolving disputes and managing litigation, including evidence preparation and documentation. You will monitor regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance, review and develop governance frameworks and policies, and provide day-to-day legal guidance to internal stakeholders. Maintaining and updating legal precedents and templates, as well as conducting legal research as required, will also be part of your responsibilities. About you You should have 3–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and be admitted in NSW. Previous in-house experience in property development is preferred, and a background in private practice within property, development finance, or construction will be highly regarded. Strong commercial acumen and legal judgment, excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment are essential.
