Facilities Manager - Retail / Mixed Use — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

Property Network of Australia is seeking a Retail Facilities Manager This is an initial 5 month contract position with the strong potential for permanency, this role will be covering a portfolio of 9 retail assets across metropolitan and regional Victoria. We are looking for an individual with experience as a Facilities Manager / Operations Manager preferably within a retail shopping centre environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operational and compliance matters across the portfolio, with a strong emphasis on contractor management, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations and facilities management of a portfolio of 9 retail properties across Victoria Manage building services including security, maintenance, cleaning and safety to ensure a high standard of presentation Review monthly operating expenditure and support financial performance reporting Coordinate with Centre Managers to prepare monthly reports for clients Build and maintain strong working relationships with tenants, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders Ensure all preventative maintenance and compliance obligations are executed per schedule Travel regularly between retail sites as part of your portfolio oversight Maintain all documentation in accordance with management agreements and reporting expectations The ideal candidate will have: 5 years experience in facilities management, ideally within retail shopping centre or mixed use commercial property sector Strong background in compliance and contractor performance management Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems Strong communication, financial literacy, and stakeholder relationship skills Ability to work independently across multiple locations while maintaining structured reporting This is a great opportunity to step into a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a competitive salary of $130k–$140k pkg pro rata on offer, depending on experience.
