The Directorate of Communications, Change and Corporate Graphics (DCCCG) leads a diverse portfolio with enterprise wide reach. We develop a range of communication materials, have accountability for the Defence brand and lead organisational change for a significant transformation program across the organisation. We currently have two exciting APS 6 opportunities available within our Corporate Graphics and Branding team: Senior Graphic Designer As a Senior Graphic Designer, you'll help shape the creative direction of Defence's visual communication, delivering innovative and strategic design solutions across digital and print media. You'll play a key role in lifting the creative capability of the team and mentoring fellow designers. You'll collaborate closely with the Assistant Director Corporate Graphics and Branding, the Production Manager, and other senior creatives to produce high-quality, compliant, and visually compelling communications for a wide range of audiences. Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging, strategically aligned design solutions in response to complex briefs. Manage the full design process from concept to delivery. Maintain advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects). Apply your expertise across both digital and print disciplines. Ensure designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Defence Brand Officer As Defence Brand Officer, you will be the steward of Defence's corporate identity and Coat of Arms, ensuring consistent and accurate brand application across all communications. You'll manage key brand governance processes and maintain digital brand assets for one of the nation's most prominent Government agencies. Reporting to the Assistant Director Corporate Graphics and Branding and working closely with the Office of the Associate Secretary, you'll help ensure brand alignment and quality across both internal and external communications. Key responsibilities: Manage Defence Branding email correspondence, and respond to brand queries with accurate, timely advice. Provide timely guidance on the correct use of the Defence brand and Coat of Arms. Maintain and update the Defence Corporate Identity Guidelines and intranet resources. Create and maintain digital and print brand assets using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office. Identify improvement opportunities and support brand refresh activities and asset development. Contribute brand compliance data and insights to senior leadership. About our Team The Corporate Graphics team sits within the Directorate of Communications, Change and Corporate Graphics. The Directorate has a diverse portfolio and works closely with teams across the organisation to deliver quality customer outcomes. Our Directorate portfolios include communications, organisational change management, corporate web publishing, graphic design, and Defence branding. Corporate Graphics is a highly skilled design team, providing digital and print design, media production and branding support to the Defence Enterprise. We pride ourselves on providing holistic design and communication solutions through the delivery of a diverse service offer. This includes communication support, print design and digital design capabilities - namely video production, animation, and interactive design. Corporate Graphics also governs the Defence brand identity, providing guidance, and brand asset development and management.
