Senior Accessories & Footwear Designer & Developer — Sydney, Sydney Region

My client is looking for a skilled Senior Footwear & Accessories Designer/Developer to lead the end-to-end design and development of multi-category seasonal collections across men’s and women’s ranges. Working closely with Buying and Planning, you’ll deliver commercially focused products for both retail and eCommerce. This role spans a variety of product categories including: - Footwear (men’s and women’s) - Leather goods (bags, wallets) - Jewellery, scarves, socks, and cufflinks Key responsibilities: Research global trends and consumer insights to develop cohesive and relevant collections Design and develop a wide range of products across footwear, leather goods, and accessories categories Create detailed CADs, spec sheets, and tech packs for supplier handover Review and critique supplier samples (counter and pre-production), providing clear, constructive feedback Issue product orders to suppliers and track development through to final bulk shipment Manage communication with offshore suppliers and ensure products meet quality and delivery standards Collaborate closely with the Head of Buying and Planning Team to build balanced, commercial ranges that perform across all channels Experience we're looking for: Minimum 5 years of experience in design and development across footwear and/or accessories Proven experience working with leather goods (e.g., shoes, bags, wallets) Relevant tertiary qualifications in fashion design, industrial design, or a related field Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; confident in producing clear and accurate technical packs Excellent attention to detail, especially when reviewing samples and production specs Effective communicator, with experience managing supplier relationships and production timelines Commercially minded with a good understanding of omnichannel product needs Benefits: Lead creative development in a respected Australian fashion brand Work across a diverse and dynamic range of categories Flexible, part-time role (4 days/week) based in our Alexandria Head Office Join a collaborative and forward-thinking team with a passion for product innovation If this sounds of interest, we would love to hear from you - please apply today or send your resume to Toni - [email protected]
