The Role Reporting into the Cloud Lead, the Cloud Engineer is responsible for the operational delivery, maintenance and enhancement of cloud systems, including management of its configuration, performance, availability, stability and security. Working closely with cross functional delivery teams, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the use of our CI/CD pipeline and tools like Bamboo and Splunk and ensuring high availability by acting as the gatekeeper for operational excellence. You will get the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and BAU work. About You As a Cloud Ops or DevOps Engineer, you possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of AWS experience in a similar capacity. You possess a can-do mindset with the willingness to roll your sleeves up and get involved in a variety of tasks. Other technical requirements include: Extensive experience in AWS cloud engineering with high levels of automation through Infrastructure-as-Code principles Experience in automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and preferably CloudFormation. Extensive expertise in continuously integrated software engineering pipelines following DevOps practices and using code repositories such as GitHub Solid understanding of AWS best practices, including cloud security practices Ability to design and build highly resilient distributed applications using AWS IaaS services Solid experience in zero downtime deployment principles Experience in immutable infrastructure principles Linux administration experience, covering systems engineering best practices Solid understanding of networking theory and core internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks) Good working knowledge of, and experience in using continuous integration tools like AWS Code Pipeline/ Bamboo. Exposure to containerization with Kubernetes or ECS Preferably, prior experience in software development Collaborated with diverse stakeholders and team members to deliver complex technical application programs in agile environments Bringing our best to life - why join us?
