Position Overview We are seeking a driven and detail-focused Receiving & Warehouse Site Manager to take ownership of Receiving function in our warehouse operations, and to manage our manufacturing warehouse located at Birmingham Avenue, Villawood. This role is essential to ensuring accuracy, accountability, and efficiency in how we manage stock. In addition, the position will serve as Assistant to the Warehouse Manager, contributing to leadership of broader warehouse operations, driving process improvements, and supporting automation and systems optimisation. The ideal candidate will be: ✅ Highly systems literate ✅ A natural problem-solver ✅ Focused on continuous improvement and efficiency gains ✅ A floor leader who fosters team accountability ✅ Comfortable working in time pressured environment and adapting to changing priorities Key Responsibilities: Receiving • Oversee all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders • Manage and continually improve receiving workflows for efficiency and accuracy • Develop and enforce receiving SOPs to minimise errors and discrepancies • Lead and develop the team with the skills needed to facilitate smooth Inbound Receiving operations at all warehouses • Communicate effectively with suppliers and purchasing team regarding delivery schedules and issues • Liaising with freight forwarders, custom brokers and labour hire company to ensure all incoming shipments are managed effectively. - Managing inspection booking (AQIS/IFIP) Warehouse Site Management • Overseeing a safe and efficient daily warehouse operations at our manufacturing warehouse, including inbound order, outbound order, and stock-keeping process. • Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock audits • Implement and monitor inventory control systems and processes • Drive improvements in warehouse layout and stock locations to enhance efficiency and stock integrity • Collaborate with Production, Operations, Purchasing and Finance teams on stock control, valuations and reporting Systems & Process Improvement • Optimise use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and reporting tools • Drive automation improvements where relevant across receiving and inventory processes • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and team productivity • Actively contribute to cross-functional improvement initiatives across the supply chain and warehouse Team Leadership & Floor Management • Act as a floor leader, ensuring daily targets and quality standards are met • Foster a strong culture of accountability, time efficiency and teamwork • Support the Warehouse Manager in broader warehouse leadership duties Key Attributes & Skills • 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse leadership role (e.g. Receiving Supervisor, Inventory Controller, Assistant Warehouse Manager) • Strong expertise in receiving, inventory management, and stock control • Advanced understanding of WMS and inventory management systems (highly systems literate) • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset • Passion for process improvement — constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy • Ability to lead with time efficiency, accountability, and a team-first approach • Flexible and adaptable — thrives in a dynamic warehouse environment • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to manage change and contribute to automation and systems enhancements • Forklift Licence (High Reach)
