Site Engineer — Homebush South, Strathfield Area

Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to support the delivery of bulk earthworks and excavation projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure construction activities are executed according to design, quality, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning, coordinating, and setting out for bulk earthworks and excavation works on-site. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide construction activities. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards. Support procurement and scheduling of materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, ITPs, checklists, and progress reports. Liaise with surveyors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve design or construction issues. Monitor and document environmental controls and compliance on-site. Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant WHS policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation of as-built documentation and project close-out records. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 1-3 years' experience on civil infrastructure projects, ideally in bulk earthworks and excavation. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and technical specifications. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. White Card and other relevant construction tickets (e.g., confined space, first aid) preferred. Valid driver's licence and reliable transport. Desirable: Experience working under Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors. Knowledge of local standards and environmental regulations.
