The Opportunity We’re on the lookout for a Senior Analytics Engineer who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and business impact. You’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation currently undergoing a major data transformation — shifting from legacy systems to modern, scalable platforms designed for speed, accuracy, and self-service analytics. If you love building automated pipelines, enabling smarter decision-making, and collaborating across technical and business teams — we want to hear from you. What You’ll Be Doing Build Smart Pipelines Design and implement scalable CI/CD workflows using Apache Airflow and Atlassian Bamboo. You’ll work with GCP tools (BigQuery, Dataform) to dramatically reduce compute costs (90% savings) and boost performance. Own the Infrastructure Maintain robust codebases across staging and production with automated rollback strategies, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of operational reporting. Modernise BI Lead the migration from Tableau to ThoughtSpot, enabling natural language querying and true self-service. This shift has already seen a 50% increase in daily user engagement. Deliver ML Insights Partner with stakeholders to build ML-driven dashboards that improve internal ops — including a 40% reduction in client onboarding turnaround time. Automate Compliance Take ownership of regulatory reporting automation (e.g. GST, trust balances), ensuring complete audit-readiness with zero manual effort. What You Bring Advanced SQL and Python skills Experience with Airflow, Dataform, BigQuery (or similar GCP tools) Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines for data workflows Hands-on BI experience with tools like Tableau and ThoughtSpot A user-first mindset — you know data is only powerful when it’s accessible Business acumen — you understand why the work matters, not just how to do it The Details Contract Length: 6 months (initial) with potential extension Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Sydney-based
