Senior Network Engineer Lead Government Services | Adelaide, SA A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer Lead to join a specialist Managed Services team supporting critical government infrastructure in South Australia. This role is ideal for a Level 3 Network and Security professional ready to take the next step into a formal Team Lead position. You’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, mentoring a high-performing engineering team, overseeing service delivery, and driving continuous improvement across a diverse government client base. Key Responsibilities Provide expert Level 3 support for network and security infrastructure, including troubleshooting, change management, and technical escalations. Act as Team Lead, guiding the day-to-day operations of a small technical team while setting standards for performance, quality, and collaboration. Lead the technical direction of managed services engagements and project delivery. Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers to develop internal capability and promote knowledge sharing. Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a technical point of contact and trusted advisor. Ensure systems and client environments are accurately documented and maintained. Identify and drive service improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Stay current with emerging network and security technologies relevant to enterprise and government environments. About You Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with approximately 6 years of industry experience in networking and security. Demonstrated leadership experience or strong readiness to step into a formal Team Lead role. Certifications in at least two relevant areas (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE). Strong experience supporting complex enterprise networks (100 users, 30 servers) and multi-vendor environments. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead both internally and in client-facing scenarios.
