ConsultANZ is looking for a highly capable Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in pavement and road construction to join a leading national contractor headquartered in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to take the lead on prominent infrastructure works and drive the successful delivery of complex pavement projects. About the Role: Spearhead pavement and surfacing operations across a range of large-scale and regional projects Provide leadership and technical oversight to project teams and site personnel Coordinate project planning, including resource allocation, labour, and plant scheduling Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time and within budget Serve as the key interface with clients, consultants, and subcontractors Uphold strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Monitor project financials, forecast costs, and manage budgets proactively What We’re Looking For: A minimum of 6–8 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within pavements and roadworks Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent Demonstrated capability in managing pavement projects from planning through to delivery Experience with reputable civil, surfacing, or asphalting contractors Deep technical knowledge of pavement design, surfacing methodologies, material specs, QA/QC, and site testing Strong leadership, stakeholder coordination, and communication skills A hands-on, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic site environments What’s in It for You: Competitive salary package: $120K – $140K Super Allowances (based on experience) Long-term career development with a well-established civil contractor Work on significant infrastructure and urban development projects across the region Be part of a professional and collaborative team that values innovation and quality.
