Role : Music/Theatre Production Rostering Coordinator and Administrator Position : Permanent Company : Century - Events, Venues, Artists Location : Sydney, NSW Salary : $70,000 - $80,000 The Century Group is a live entertainment producer, festival presenter and the operator of a suite of venues that includes the Enmore Theatre, Metro Theatre, the Factory Theatre complex, the Sydney Comedy Store and The Concourse Performing Arts Centre Chatswood. Underpinning your role will be demonstrated excellence in personal organisation, ability to adhere to systems and procedures, workflow management, prioritisation, completion, advance production and operational requirements. For this job, you will need to ensure that all live performance events have the necessary production staff that have been requested. This involved organising audio operators, lighting operators and other stage / BOH crew. It is important that these staff are confirmed for all events and will require an eye for details and a strict adherence to business processes and task follow-ups. Experience: Experience in rostering Experience with live theatre/music Awareness and experience in technical production requirements such as staging, audio, lighting and vision Areas of work: Resource Management Co-ordinating with the Production Team Rostering Admin work Event planning Duties and Responsibilities: Populate and confirm shifts for events 8 weeks in advance Process late staffing requests and ensure requirements are met Ensure work quota is being met Ensure all events meet production staffing requirements Utilize staffing and resources appropriately Ensure staff are happy with hours/work Knowledge and skills: Understanding end to end process of delivering production and resources for live events at our venues Understanding of staging, technical requirements of live and theatre performance , including sound and lighting requirements. Excellent planning and prioritising skills. High levels of interpersonal communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Standard Work week involves: Staffing events with relevant person at least 2 months in advance Staffing for consecutive Musical Performances that may span more than 2 weeks Processing additional staffing requests that have been assigned to you Conduct audits to ensure levels are being met Responding to declined shifts and finding alternative people Regular communication with roster staff Liase with staff and make sure they are adhering to work hour requirements and company policy Other areas: Organising training and development of key staff Ensuring staff are happy Major staff planning for festivals and other irregular projects Creating reports and compiling information on staffing levels and presenting them in meetings
