MM Electrical Darwin is seeking a proactive and organised team member to join our Internal Sales team in a dual role, where you'll keep the back office running smoothly through accounts and administration support, while also delivering top-notch service to our diverse customer base from the front counter in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This is a permanent full-time position based in Winnellie; NT. Hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing accounts payable and receivable, including processing expense claims, reconciliations, and invoice handling with accuracy and efficiency. Reviewing purchase orders, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. Supporting all finance-related functions such as banking, returns, and resolving invoice discrepancies. Providing exceptional customer service by responding to enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email. Assisting customers at the counter and promoting a wide range of electrical products. Creating and managing purchase orders while liaising with suppliers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key account customers. Supporting day-to-day administrative tasks and assisting with various ad-hoc duties as required. What you’ll need to succeed: A background in customer service, ideally within a wholesale environment, though strong retail sales experience is also welcomed. Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, with a solid understanding of financial processes. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with a wide range of individuals. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage paperwork and processes efficiently. Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, paired with a client-focused, team-oriented mindset. The ability to quickly learn and retain product knowledge, as well as the motivation to expand your skills and grow your career. A valid C Class driver’s licence.
