Job Title: Midrange Senior Systems Administrator – ICT Specialist Reference: DCS25149 Location: Darwin, NT (Onsite preferred, remote considered) Client: Data Centre Services (DCS), Northern Territory Government Engagement: Contract | Includes On-Call Roster Eligibility Posted By: Cloudstreet Consulting About the Role: Cloudstreet Consulting is seeking an experienced Midrange Senior Systems Administrator on behalf of Data Centre Services (DCS) . This is a senior ICT Specialist role within the Midrange Services unit, responsible for delivering high-quality systems administration across a wide range of infrastructure technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong senior-level system administration background, capable of working across multiple disciplines, and demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and collaboration. While onsite presence in Darwin is preferred, strong remote candidates will also be considered. The role includes participation in an on-call roster , compensated at 1 hour of the contract rate per rostered day. Scope of Work & Responsibilities: There is a requirement for a suitably skilled IT practitioner to provide senior systems administration services within the Midrange Services unit. The successful candidate’s primary focus will be to bring their Senior Sysadmin skillset and knowledge to work across multiple disciplines. Requirements Skills and Experience: The individual will be required to and/or have experience across multiple disciplines: Designing client-based virtualised infrastructure solutions and DCS internal systems. Implement infrastructure solutions for business application server environments. Developing automation and business logic capabilities to support the provisioning of virtual machines and BAU activities. Perform system administration and provide technical input for the support of midrange server technology stack focussing on Windows Server technologies and RedHat Linux. Administering enterprise VMware deployments with a skill base in Enterprise storage, Enterprise backup/recovery and replication products. Database administration for SQL Server and MySQL/Maria DB. Experience managing PKI and security patching infrastructure. Administration experience with Active Directory, IIS Installation, Apache products, configuration and web application deployment. Managing and administering experience with Azure subscriptions and resources. Experience in basic configuration and management of F5 BIG IP devices an advantage. Ability to work within a team environment, using an ITIL methodology, with a job allocation system. Be able to diagnose and resolve complex issues as they arise. Be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise and schedule one’s own work and provide regular updates to any outstanding job tickets. Develop work instructions and other documentation as required. Provide administration advice and feedback to customers with regards to the standard day to day management of customer applications, including capacity planning and customer requested ad-hoc reporting. Ensure that the security of corporate data and applications is maintained and monitored on behalf of client agencies. By request, provide input into project proposals and business cases. Participate in an on call roster.
