About the Role: As a Business Administration Assistant , this is your opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the Ministry Worker, Community Support Worker, and Corps Officer in the administration of The Salvation Army’s mission, with a strong emphasis on financial responsibilities. The role operates within an integrated ministry setting to ensure the smooth functioning of Corps operations. This is a Permanent Part-time position offering 19 hours over 5 days including 3 hours on a Friday. The role attracts remuneration of Clerks Award Level 3.1 How You Will Make an Impact: You will be responsible for the overall administration of Corps activities, taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Church office as directed by the Corps Officer(s). Your contributions will include: Managing financial and accounting tasks such as receipting donations, banking, reconciliations, purchasing, and sourcing quotes, as required by the Corps Officer(s). Assisting with the maintenance of employee records in WorkDay, ensuring compliance with TSA policies and procedures, and coordinating with THQ departments as necessary. Coordinating administrative and clerical duties related to internal communications, including the production and distribution of the Corps newsletter, meeting support, and promotion of mission programs and activities. Supporting the planning and coordination of special events such as the Red Shield Appeal, Christmas Party, and other community events. Maintaining and updating the Corps website and social media platforms, ensuring timely promotion of ministry activities, programs, and the overall Corps mission. What You Will Bring: A current and valid QLD Blue Card (mandatory). A current QLD driver’s licence (preferred).
