Our Client is looking for a Trainee Facilities Engineer to support the rollout of some new network infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with external contractors/vendors to co-ordinate and schedule components of the upgrade. This will be initially a 6 month contract, with the possibility of an extension, and based in the Melbourne Western Suburbs. Please note, to apply applicants must have the following: The requisite skill and experience defined below, and At least a Working Visa or Australian Permanent Residence working rights. The project: The engagement is for a cabling upgrade and fault maintenance. So, 50% of the day will be physically auditing cables onsite and the other 50% will be working with the BAU team identifying and invetigating faults, then giving direction and knowledge transfer to subcontractors to rectify any identified faults. Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Ability to work onsite 3-5 days per week. Ideally suited to a Uni Student/Graduate who is flexible with their working hours and looking for an entry-level role in IT Infrastructure. You need to have initiative, an enthusiastic and positive attitude and be willing to learn from an experienced team, Background in a similar role and/or degree in Network Engineering would be highly regarded.
