Function Sales Coordinator — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

We’re on the hunt for a Function Sales Coordinator to join our national sales team at Australian Venue Co. This is your chance to be the first point of contact for clients looking to host everything from milestone birthdays to corporate events across our incredible portfolio of venues. You’ll be managing incoming enquiries, creating proposals, locking in bookings, and helping bring standout events to life — all while delivering exceptional customer service. What You’ll Be Doing: Responding to inbound function and event enquiries Preparing tailored proposals, agreements, and event quotes Liaising with venue managers and operational teams to coordinate bookings Providing a smooth client journey from first contact through to handover Maintaining communication with clients pre- and post-event Driving repeat business and up-selling where possible Supporting the wider sales team with venue admin and reporting You’ll Bring: A love of hospitality and events Previous experience in function sales, event coordination or customer service Confidence with email, phone and face-to-face communication Strong admin and organisational skills A proactive, positive attitude and problem-solving mindset Experience with booking software (iVvy, Now Book It, etc.) is a plus Perks of the Job: Work across some of Australia’s most iconic venues Join a vibrant, supportive team environment Career growth and progression opportunities National company with venue discounts and staff perks Access to team events, launch parties & more Ready to turn enquiries into unforgettable events?
