Join Torrens University in supporting a significant research quality review project. Torrens University Australia is preparing for a major external review of research volume and quality, guided by the Australian Research Council's Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) framework. To support this, we’re looking for a casual Administration Assistant to assist with the collection, curation, and management of research output data. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Research Infrastructure Librarian and the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor to ensure research data is accurate, complete, and ready for external evaluation. Key Accountabilities: As Administration Assistant, you will: Curate research data and create records within the University’s Institutional Repository and Research Data Management systems Maintain and update Field of Research (FoR) codes and metadata for research outputs Synchronise records across the research management system and institutional repository Assist with the acquisition and processing of full-text research outputs Support the preparation of reports for internal stakeholders Contribute to other administrative tasks as required to support the project Who You Are: You're a proactive, detail-focused individual with a strong interest in academic research and data management. You enjoy working collaboratively and are confident managing digital systems and research information. You’ll bring: Experience working in a library or research support role, ideally within higher education Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond effectively to enquiries Familiarity with the research environment in tertiary education Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Confidence working both independently and as part of a team Solid computer skills, particularly with research databases and data entry Experience with delivering research training or supporting research students is a plus (particularly relevant for higher-level appointments). This is a Casual Part Time position located at our Flinders Street campus in Melbourne. Why join us?
