Site Acquisition and Design Remote work, travel to sites when required 3-month contract, highly likely to extend to long-term opportunity $800 / day About the Role We're seeking a highly capable and motivated Site Acquisition & Design Coordinator to join our Site Acquisition, Environment & Design (SAED) team in the Central Region. Reporting to the Senior Regional Lead, you'll play a critical role in the delivery of mobile infrastructure projects as part of the Wireless Program Office. You'll be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end acquisition and design of new and upgraded mobile base station sites, ensuring that all project components are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical, environmental, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the site acquisition and design process across a portfolio of wireless infrastructure projects. Negotiate property access with a wide range of stakeholders, including local councils, state government agencies, large corporations, infrastructure providers, and private landowners. Manage and monitor project progress, ensuring key milestones for time, cost, quality, and HSE requirements are met. Navigate the contractor delivery model and apply strong commercial acumen to meet contractual obligations. Communicate effectively with internal teams, delivery partners, and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on risks, issues, and mitigation strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, utilities, and government representatives. Provide subject-matter expertise on planning, environmental, and property-related legislation and compliance matters. What You'll Bring In-depth knowledge of property acquisition, land access, and town planning relevant to mobile network deployment. Demonstrated experience working with legislation and codes such as the Telecommunications Act 1997, EPBC Act 1999, C564:2020 Industry Code, and other relevant state and federal property frameworks. Strong understanding of mobile network infrastructure including RF design, civil works, environmental approvals, and EME compliance. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to influence and negotiate with diverse parties across technical and non-technical backgrounds. Ability to interpret and advise on legislative and regulatory matters related to site acquisition and development. Practical experience resolving Electromagnetic Energy (EME) concerns with stakeholders, in alignment with compliance standards.
