In this broad commercial and regulatory legal role, you will be: supporting the Customer Department deliver its sales and product objectives by negotiating contracts, providing support on RFP processes and sales opportunities; representing the Legal team on relevant projects; providing legal advice to the business, Executive and Board (as required); negotiating supplier contracts in accordance with vendor management frameworks; writing submissions and responses to industry and regulatory matters; and supporting regulatory matters including breach and regulatory change management. Reporting to an experienced General Counsel in Sydney, this role sits in a small legal team that is relied upon heavily by senior management and the ELT. The role is best suited to candidates with 8 years’ PQE from a leading law firm or similar financial services company. You will have deep financial services regulatory knowledge (APRA, ASIC) and ideally, a keen interest or exposure to the payments industry.
