Role Overview We are seeking intellectually curious individuals with exceptional linguistic precision, analytical rigour, mathematical aptitude, and conceptual clarity to join our team as Legal Digitisation Specialists. In this specialised role, you will convert intricate legal documents into structured, executable logic using Decisively, bridging the gap between complex legal semantics, numerical accuracy, and automated computational processes. This role demands individuals who are highly motivated self-starters, capable of rapidly adapting and thriving within an extraordinarily complex and fast-paced remote working environment. You must possess the confidence to proactively seek out support from colleagues and subject matter experts when needed and take complete ownership of your assigned responsibilities. Here are some of the duties you will perform Accurately interpret and digitise complex legal and regulatory texts, preserving their natural language structure while creating clear, executable logic. Identify and articulate ambiguities, gaps, edge cases, and multiple interpretations in legal clauses, clearly communicating these back to clients to facilitate resolution. Define and map intricate entity structures and logic across multiple entities as presented within diverse legal documentation. Implement temporal logic structures to handle date-based calculations and complex entitlement scenarios. Review, analyse, and interpret external system data models and payloads to seamlessly integrate Decisively's logic-driven determinations. Conduct rigorous testing, verification, and auditing against client systems, employing strong mathematical and analytical skills to validate accuracy and compliance. Perform detailed root cause analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors within client data and entitlement calculations. Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to ensure high-fidelity translation of legal intent into structured logic. Engage in continuous, effective communication and consultation with diverse team members, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining clear and professional client-facing interactions. Essential Skills & Attributes Exceptional proficiency in English grammar and linguistic comprehension, with outstanding attention to textual detail. Proven ability to dissect and interpret complex, nuanced legal or policy documentation. Acute analytical skills, capable of identifying ambiguity, logical gaps, and alternative interpretation pathways within intricate texts. Strong mathematical aptitude with respect to calculating entitlements under complex regulations, such as Enterprise Agreements or Modern Awards. Conceptual thinker with the ability to visualise and structure sophisticated entity relationships, logical inferences, and temporal processes. Comfort and familiarity with data modelling, including the ability to interpret and integrate external data structures and payloads. Exceptional communication and consultative skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and maintain robust, professional client relationships. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complexities and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Intellectually humble, receptive to constructive feedback, collaborative, and continuously open to learning new methods and approaches. What makes you a great fit? Experience in business analysis, legislative drafting, policy analysis, or roles requiring high levels of textual interpretation and logic structuring. Background or strong interest in philosophy, linguistics, law, logic, mathematics, or similarly structured fields. Experience with payroll systems, government entitlement systems, taxation compliance, or similar regulatory domains is highly beneficial but not strictly required. Background in performing detailed auditing, testing, or verification tasks, particularly within a compliance-focused environment. Prior experience working with individuals across diverse cognitive spectrums, recognising and valuing unique perspectives. Whilst not necessarily essential, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Linguistics, Philosophy, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science (with an emphasis on data modelling and analysis), or a related analytical discipline.
