Description Join Our Team at Albion Veterinary Surgery! Are you a passionate, skilled Vet Nurse who loves what you do? We’re looking for a Part-time Qualified Vet Nurse to join our talented and dynamic team at Albion Veterinary Surgery. We operate on a 2:1 ratio, which means for every vet in clinic we have, there’s always 2 supporting staff members. This provides our amazing nursing team experience with a large variety of different cases, such as consulting, hospitalisation, surgery, reception and puppy school. Our clinic consists of two consult rooms, a large waiting room with the option to separate patients, both a dog and cat ward, as well as a sterile surgery suite and an open preparation/ treatment area. Additionally, we recently received a new IM3 Dental X-Ray System and IDEXX diagnostic machines where we can run comprehensive workups for both our patients. Special interest in Puppy School (training provided) Strong experience in nursing and handling a variety of cases. Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure. Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. A positive attitude and excellent communication skills. A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets. About The Role Assisting our veterinarians with routine exams and procedures Providing surgical and hospital nursing care, including anaesthetic monitoring Delivering pre- and post-operative patient care, as well as offering grief support to clients Administering medications and preparing treatments as required Managing the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patients Communicating treatment plans and updates to clients Performing blood collection, testing, and IV catheter placement Assisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds) Supporting dental care, including scale and polish and performing dental x-rays Contributing to day-to-day nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient care Apply Now!
