SA Power Networks has received its Australian Energy Regulator (AER) Regulatory Determination for 2020-2025. To continue to achieve our successful ranking as Australia’s most efficient state-wide distribution network service provider whilst working with a challenging reset determination and ageing network, SAPN and IT 2020-25 Regulatory objectives are to: Manage business and network costs through the efficient use of data and digital technology Support and enable the future network developments using data and digital Maintain compliance Maintain current levels of customer and network services and risk To enable a good cultural fit, the resource will need to be: A dynamic and flexible approach to respond to the changing needs of the business; A dynamic and facilitative project team member, willing to undertake any task required to deliver the team objectives; and Creative with the ability to think outside the box for innovative solutions. This role will support the enhancement and evolution of our data platform, providing expertise in data engineering, implementation and build data products in collaboration with cross-functional teams focused on customer outcomes. The role has a focus on continuous improvement as data use cases grow, building data pipelines and working closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation and within the Digital and Technology Team. The responsibilities will include providing technical support for our data platform, as well as offering both advisory and hands-on support for the team. Experience with Snowflake, SAP and BDT is highly desirable. Key Objectives Develop new solutions for the data platform in liaison with key stakeholders ensuring requirements are met Lead continuous improvement by maintaining awareness of data and technology developments and making appropriate recommendations to grow the data capability of the organisation Ensuring the availability and responsiveness of the Data platform within the agreed business hours. Contributes to and supports the Data roadmap and development standards Ensures all data products adhere to security policies and appropriate escalation processes are in place for all applications Documents all solutions and integration components for support purposes in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures and adheres to any applicable configuration management procedures Ensure changes follow SAPN change methodology, including testing and appropriate backout plans where needed, and collaboration with business and Digital and Technology Stakeholders.
