Health & Safety Advisor - Construction — Brisbane, Brisbane Region

Commercial Head Contractor require a Health & Safety Advisor to oversee the smooth running and compliant construction sites within QLD. This position will have you working in a fast pace environment along with supporting the team and receiving mentoring from the National HSE Manager. Tasks & Responsibilities Implementation of Site Safety Administration reporting requirements Conducting site audits, safety meetings, inspections to ensure compliance with regulations Promoting Health & Safety working methods Ensuring all Health & Safety documentation is recorded Keeping up to date with legislation & ensuring compliance with laws & regulations Investigate incidents and initiate corrective actions Assist procurement teams to develop pre-construction risk assessments and identify controls that need to be included in project tenders Liaise with all stakeholders in order to share awareness and education on HSE news & updates Work with project teams to ensure projects meet contract requirements Performance Measurement & Emergency Management Training and coaching staff Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety 2 Years local experience in a similar role within construction across Commercial, Retail & Aged Care projects Thorough sub-contractor knowledge Excellent written & verbal communication skills Intermediate IT skills Strong time management & organisation skills High level rapport building skills with internal networks Benefits: Professional working environment Stable employment Join a high-performing team Regular family friendly social events If you qualify for the above requirements and are looking for your next opportunity the click APPLY NOW or send your CV to [email protected] Or call 0409 577 690 to discuss this opportunity further.
