As a leader in our field, we prioritise teamwork, creativity, and efficiency to achieve our goals. We are looking for a full-time Warehouse Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, organised, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills. The Warehouse Supervisor supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations for our furniture business. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of furniture products. The Warehouse Supervisor will maintain inventory accuracy, supervise warehouse staff, and ensure a safe and organised warehouse environment. Responsibilities: Operational Support: • Assist the Warehouse Manager in planning and implementing warehouse operations. • Ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of furniture products. • Oversee the maintenance and organisation of the warehouse. • Supporting the training of all warehouse staff in their roles in line with safe operating procedures. • Assist in identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the warehouse operation through innovation and best practices. • Ensuring all inbound, replenishment, and outbound processes are completed effectively within agreed targets. • Assist in decanting containers, ensuring that the planning, putaway, and pick-pack consignment processes are conducted in a timely manner. Inventory Management: • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits. • Ensure accurate inventory records are maintained. • Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems. • Supporting the warehouse manager and team with quality control for all products to ensure all orders are only dispatched after passing full quality control checks. Staff Supervision: • Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training as needed. • Assist in scheduling and assigning tasks to warehouse personnel. • Foster a positive and productive work environment. Safety and Compliance: • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards for safe and efficient operations. • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. • Conduct general warehouse duties, including housekeeping. Process Improvement: • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency. • Work with the Warehouse Manager to develop and refine standard operating procedures. • Identify solutions and implement prompt corrective actions to address any logistical challenges or disruptions, such as delays, damages, or shortages. Customer Service: • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment. • Address and resolve any issues related to warehouse operations. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or management role, preferably in the furniture industry • Current Driver’s license • Forklift licence & high reach lift experience is required. • Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items as required. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Professional demeanour and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
