Greatwestern Bar and Grill is currently seeking a talented and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. About the Role: As a Cook at Greatwestern Bar and Grill, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of dishes to a high standard while maintaining food safety and kitchen hygiene practices. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and team in a fast-paced environment where quality and consistency are key. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the menu and company standards. Operate and maintain grill stations, ensuring all dishes are cooked to order and to specification. Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner during busy service periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment. Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including safe storage and handling of ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the grill area and kitchen equipment Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and placing orders as required. Support other kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment. Assist in menu planning and the development of specials when required. About You: Proven experience as a Cook in a busy kitchen, preferably in a pub, grill, or casual dining venue. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards. Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (preferred but not essential). Reliable, punctual, and passionate about delivering quality food.
