Construction Manager — Brisbane, Brisbane Region

The Company Our client is a standout leader in the commercial and civil landscaping industry, offering a complete range of construction services to clients across Australia. The Position Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join the team starting immediately. Working closely with Senior Management to review and build upon States growth and strategy plans Advertising, Reviewing Resumes and Conducting interviews of prospective Site and Project staff Attend tender meetings, project meetings/pre-construction meetings and meetings with consultants as required Attend HSEQ Senior Management meetings Management of construction works and ensure resources and planning of works are executed under the fundamental principals of Project Management (time, cost and quality). Consistent communication with project teams, to ensure a fluid risk and opportunities. Prepare and report of Project Performance and Forecasting including; - Revenue - Gross Profit Movements - Program Progress and/or Delays - Review of budgets and cost tracking on a monthly basis against approved budgets, and report of performance to management. Develop, long term growth & maintenance of the project teams. Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients. Participate in senior management meetings and preparation for reporting to key stakeholders for improvements and business efficiencies. Involvement with tenders in collaboration with Senior Management Community engagement and networking including attendance at community and business events Provides advice, assistance and direction to site personnel to enable them to conduct operations in a safe and efficient manner to ensure a safe working environment. Review and reporting of Project Performance and Forecasting. Review of budgets and cost tracking on a monthly basis. The Candidate Key capabilities include: Ambitious, energetic and self-motivated with strong interpersonal, communication and very strong negotiation skills Able to prioritise, self-manage and work with minimal supervision A confident team member with flexibility, adaptability, and a friendly positive attitude Possess initiative and the ability to grow your portfolio Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and team members Ability to understand and communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner Demonstrate high level of accountability for end-to-end process, diligence and track record for high quality work Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and discretion and adherence to ethical conduct Requirements: Qualification in Landscape Trade, Civil Construction, or similar, with significant experience in commercial landscaping or civil works project management. Current Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card (WHS certification). The ideal candidate should be proficient in: Microsoft Project – for project scheduling and tracking.
