Medical Receptionist — Sydney, Sydney Region

North Shore and Bondi Junction Hand Therapy is an allied health practice treating chronic and acute hand and upper limb injuries. We are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to work alongside our Practice Manager on a permanent basis. Roles and Responsibilities Greet health professionals and patients as they enter/leave the practice Handling and directing all inbound telephone calls Responsible for all aspects of the front desk reception and general administration duties relating to the day-to-day operation of either location, including processing new patient information into Cliniko, taking & receipt of payments, making follow-up appointments and liaising as required with the team of surgeons. Handling of incoming mail and preparation of mail to send Assisting Practice Owner/Senior Practice Manager with co-ordination of staff rosters, including rescheduling as required due to annual/personal leave To monitor and follow up accounts receivable, report debt levels to Practice Owner/Senior Practice Manager on regular basis as required Maintain patient confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this role Displaying empathy and understanding as you assist in processing simple patient and health professional requests as required Maintaining appearance of front reception and kitchen area This position description is not exhaustive, rather is intended to be indicative of the employment requirements of administrative support staff.
