As we continue to expand and optimise our operations, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Retail Manager to lead our day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and ensure excellence in every aspect of the retail experience. About the Role This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Retail Manager with a proven track record in high-volume retail environments. The role requires a confident and proactive leader who can manage staff, maintain stock levels, oversee merchandising, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and regulated retail setting. Experience in convenience retail, fuel station operations, or mixed-service environments will be highly regarded. Key Responsibilities • Manage the daily operation of the retail store and forecourt, ensuring smooth workflows across all departments • Supervise and coordinate team members across shifts, including training in sales procedures, safety, and service delivery • Ensure accurate and secure handling of point-of-sale systems, including for fuel, food, and general merchandise • Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation (FIFO), and supplier coordination for timely restocking • Lead promotional campaigns, in-store merchandising, and seasonal display planning to maximise sales performance • Reconcile daily sales, manage cash floats, and ensure accurate financial reporting • Investigate and resolve customer service issues, including refunds, complaints, and product inquiries • Monitor fuel stock levels, coordinate with delivery providers, and ensure safety and environmental compliance • Enforce workplace health and safety protocols and store security measures, including basic CCTV and incident reporting • Ensure cleanliness, visual appeal, and regulatory compliance across all customer-facing and backroom areas Skills & Experience Required • 3 years of leadership experience in retail environments such as service stations, grocery outlets, or technology and service counters • Proven capability in supervising staff, conducting on-the-job training, and supporting team performance • Strong understanding of inventory control systems, retail merchandising, and stock planning • Experience in managing fuel and/or high-turnover product environments, with attention to safety and regulatory compliance • Confident handling of POS systems, cash transactions, and sales reconciliation • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with a service-first approach • Ability to work across flexible rosters including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required • Exposure to retail sectors involving food, beverage, liquor, or mobile device sales and repairs will be beneficial What We Offer • Competitive salary of $80,000 superannuation • Long-term full-time position in a stable and respected regional business • Autonomy to manage and shape the store’s operations with full leadership support • A collaborative team environment with ongoing development opportunities • Exposure to a diverse retail setting with both customer service and compliance responsibilities How to Apply If you are a motivated and experienced retail leader looking to take the next step in your career, we invite you to submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for this opportunity.
