Our Disciplines Accounting, Governance and Regulation Business Analytics Business Information Systems Finance Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies International Business Marketing Strategy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Work and Organisational Studies Call for Expressions of Interest – Casual Academic Teaching Roles We are currently inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for casual academic roles for Semester 2, 2025 . We employ casual academics each year to undertake teaching work in undergraduate and postgraduate units of study. While most appointments are made during the Semester 1 and Semester 2 intakes, casual academic opportunities may occasionally arise during intensive teaching periods based on demand. To meet TEQSA requirements, applicants must possess a qualification at least one AQF level higher than the course of study being taught (AQF1), or have equivalent relevant academic, professional or practice-based experience and expertise. Candidates who can bring professional experience as well as disciplinary expertise will be highly valued. Expected duties of a casual academic Depending on the individual role to be filled, the unit of study and on your qualifications, activities may involve teaching-related duties such as: - delivering tutorials - providing support to lectures/workshops - marking and academic administration where required Casual rates for academic teaching duties will be commensurate with the role being undertaken. Pay rates can be found within the University of Sydney Enterprise Agreement and will be applied, where relevant. About you Expressions of Interest are welcome from individuals who: - Present relevant qualifications or experience; - Provide evidence of high-quality teaching experience in the area they express interest in on the EOI form; - Can demonstrate current and ongoing professional and/or academic engagement activities Sponsorship / work rights for Australia You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment. Pre-employment checks Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all roles requiring pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
