About Us Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. VCAT The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) provides fair, efficient and affordable justice for the Victorian community. VCAT is the busiest tribunal in Australia, handling over 83,000 cases annually across a broad range of civil, administrative, and human rights matters that significantly affect the daily lives of Victorians. Operating as a tribunal rather than a court, VCAT emphasises accessibility, informality, and timely resolution through alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation. As part of Victoria's independent justice system, VCAT receives administrative support from Court Services Victoria (CSV), a statutory body that also supports the state's courts and judicial institutions. About the Role The Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) works closely with the President's Chambers and the Executive leadership team (ELT) within VCAT. The role requires you to confidently operate with a high level of discretion, autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced environment to deliver a high calibre of executive and administrative support to the CEO and members of ELT. The role requires a highly organised, solution-focused individual with a communicative and collaborative approach, with the ability to work with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met and a high standard of work is achieved. The key duties include: * providing high-level executive support to the CEO, members of ELT and the day-to-day operations of the CEO office * establishing and maintaining strong working relationships * monitoring, assessing and prioritising a high volume of incoming papers, emails and telephone inquiries * drafting, proof-reading and editing briefs, memorandums, and general correspondence in an accurate and timely manner * maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity in the daily course of duties * researching, planning and developing documents such as agendas, minutes and correspondence * providing support for special projects in collaboration with business units across the orgnisation About You The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of success in providing high-level executive support to senior roles in complex environments.
