What you’ll do: We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and strategic leader to join the WA sales team. As the WA State Manager, you will lead the execution of our pharmacy strategy, playing a crucial role in supporting our Vision and Business Unit goals across the state. This leadership position is responsible for managing all state-based business operations, with a focus on achieving both short- and long-term commercial objectives. With a strong mandate to grow market share, increase profitability, and enhance sales performance, this position aligns with the strategic direction set by the Group General Manager – Pharmacy Business Development. Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide leadership and drive a culture that reflects API's vision and values Manage the sales, margin, and leadership of API wholesale customers and BDM team Grow market share and revenue opportunities by providing direction on key customer strategies and pharmacy sale opportunities Prepare budgets, reports, and forecasts for the state office in a timely manner Direct and recommend changes to trading terms, pricing, and credit arrangements to ensure business growth Retain existing customer base and achieve budgeted sales growth Manage wholesale pricing, promotions, and development of state activities What you’ll bring: 10 years’ experience in a senior management role of either sales, marketing, logistics within the retail/wholesale/pharmaceutical/FMCG industry Experience in managing diverse employees Experience in a large national or multinational organisation Knowledge and/or exposure to industry programs (Ie: SAP) highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to keep up to date with legislative changes Very numerate with highly developed business acumen Ability to lead by example, ability to foresee and implement change Ability to influence sales team and guide sales personnel to achieve set KPIs Self-motivated and results driven Strong influencing and negotiation skills Why us?
