With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD, Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be!    Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Administration Officer to join the Bundoora Older Adults Mental Health In-Patient Unit Team.  About Mental Health Division:  Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern. Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles. We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.  About the Role: As the administration officer, you will be responsible for receptionist and administrative duties specific to the Older Personâs Mental Health service. You will be primarily based at the Bundoora campus. The Administration Officer is an integral part of the team. Ensuring administration tasks and duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.  This role is responsible for: Delivery of professional customer service in a caring manner to consumers, their families, carers, visitors, colleagues, external agencies and the public. Clerical and receptionist duties, coordination of physical and telecommunication traffic of the department/ service and manage patient administrative information both electronic, verbal, paper and any other medium as required. Professional conduct within a multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing, medical, allied health, support staff (clinical and non-clinical) including other hospital departments. Tracking, processing and coordination of all legal documentation in relation to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act for the local campus including the inpatient unit, nursing home/residential and community teams. Coordination of Mental Health Tribunal hearings for teams based at the Bundoora Centre campus including the inpatient unit, nursing home/residential and community teams. There may be occasions where additional administrative cover for other units/ teams may be required where usual administration staff are not available. This may relate to any of the designated administration tasks, for which training will be provided where necessary.  To be successful in this role you will have:  Motivation and commitment to ongoing development Able to work in a busy environment and under pressure at times Demonstrated flexibility and reliability A sound understanding of hospital emergency and interdepartmental policy and procedures as they pertain to the position Desirable: Knowledge of medical terminology Professional presentation and demeanour An ability to accept direction Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills Computer skills, including accurate keyboard skills  Next Steps . . .  If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
