Your role at St John of God Murdoch To contribute to a high performing admissions service, by ensuring overall integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all patient admissions and theatre bookings, while providing a consistently positive patient experience. 5 Casual positions are currently available. Applicant’s will continue to be considered for future positions as they arise across various wards over the next six months. The Position Creation of theatre booking and patient account in webPAS Update theatre booking information as subsequent correspondence is received from Specialist practices to hospital. Monitor patients’ completion of admissions paperwork and take appropriate action to ensure progression. Assist patients with completion of admissions paperwork face to face. Validate and process admissions forms. Monitor and verification of Pre-Admissions Clinic appointment requirements for patients and ensure that these are booked. Ensure that all patients who require a Pre-admissions assessment have relevant nursing forms in their admissions pack. Conduct health fund checks. Obtain health fund quotes for uncovered patients. Review and validate patient consents and payments. Generate patient admissions files and adhere to sound document management. Facilitate all aspects of booking cancellations and rescheduling. Sound interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide high-level customer service is essential to the role. You will have high-level of attention to detail and data entry accuracy with sound planning and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and cope with competing demands. To succeed you will have knowledge of admissions process in a private hospital environment, general understanding of document management and strong computer skills with a good working knowledge of MS office and webPAS.
