Our client, a leading EPCM, is currently seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to support the feasibility study through to construction and commissioning phases of a large resources project. Key Responsibilities: Conduct field investigations and client consultations to define scope and estimate control systems costs. Lead the design, development, and evaluation of control systems, components, and processes. Apply industry-standard engineering methods, techniques, and tools to develop detailed designs and specifications. Coordinate control systems engineering activities with internal disciplines, contractors, vendors, and client representatives. Prepare technical studies, conceptual designs, reports, and proposals. Guide and mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements and regulatory obligations throughout design and execution. Support system installation and maintenance planning through detailed documentation and technical input. Select equipment and components based on technical analysis and reliability assessments. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (or equivalent international qualification). Significant relevant experience in control systems within the mining industry Proven track record in delivering control systems solutions across project lifecycles, from feasibility through commissioning. Technical Skills & Certifications: Experience with Functional Safety and implementation of safety-related control systems. Certified Functional Safety Practitioner (CFSP) or equivalent preferred. Skilled in translating functional safety requirements into detailed technical specifications. Experience with system testing and validation to ensure compliance with safety standards.
