Due to expansion, they are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager for their Melbourne office in Clayton to manage their existing customer base and develop new business opportunities. Job Description We are seeking a technically astute and commercially driven Technical Sales Manager to manage and grow relationships across a key portfolio of multinational clients in Australia. As an individual contributor, you'll be responsible for the full sales cycle - from technical consultations to contract negotiation - focusing on tailored solutions for complex industrial applications. Additionally, the role will: Manage and develop existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities Deliver technical product presentations and support product development discussions with R&D and procurement teams Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing expert knowledge on speciality polymers, coatings, and advanced chemical materials Work closely with internal teams (technical, supply chain, marketing) to ensure client satisfaction and service excellence Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify strategic growth areas The Successful Applicant Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B technical sales within the speciality chemicals or industrial materials space Proven track record managing multinational clients across sectors such as coatings, construction chemicals, adhesives, or industrial manufacturing Strong technical understanding of product formulations and performance requirements Self-motivated, results-oriented and confident working in an autonomous, individual contributor role Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills What's on Offer Work for a world-renowned industry leader with high-quality, sustainable solutions Be the trusted partner to major global manufacturers Attractive base salary, performance bonus, and vehicle allowance A stable, collaborative, and forward-thinking team culture
