Medical Administration Assistant — Geebung, Brisbane

About the Role Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to provide onsite administrative support to our Emergency Department at the Mater Private Hospital. This Full/part-time or casual position supports the day-to-day operations of the Mater Private Emergency Care Centre (MECC), working closely with the Practice Manager and clinical team. While the role is primarily Monday to Friday, the Ideal candidate will also be available for occasional weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities * Provide front-line administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the MECC * Manage Medicare and WorkCover billing processes * Process invoices and follow up on outstanding payments * Assist with practice financial reporting and data capture * Support the MECC Practice Manager with a range of administrative tasks * Liaise with Mater Hospital administrative staff * Provide onsite assistance to PEHA doctors, including orientation and onboarding for new staff About You * Completion of Year 12 or equivalent; relevant admin or healthcare qualifications are a plus * Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organisation, time management, and multitasking skills * High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information * Availability to work Monday to Friday, with flexibility for some weekend shifts Who We Are Established in 2016, Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) is the largest provider of partnered private emergency departments in Australia.
