Teacher Aide – Learning Enhancement Middle Senior School (Years 7-12) Permanent Full Time Term Time Monday – Friday 7.45am start 38 hours per week The successful applicant will be a qualified Teacher Aide with demonstrated experience working with students across our Middle Senior School. They will have a passion for education and a thorough understanding of the needs of girls and be dedicated to providing exceptional learning opportunities and supporting every student’s individual needs. Skills and Abilities Ability to work collaboratively with the Learning Enhancement Team and classroom teachers to develop resources, deliver programs and provide adjustments for students if required Provide administrative support to the Learning Enhancement Teachers and Heads of Faculty Strong knowledge of NCCD Proficient in the use of ICT in the classroom Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to enhance connections with students, parents and staff Assist students with executive function skills such as organisation, planning, self-regulation, sequencing of tasks and working memory Assist teachers and students with learning enhancement needs in practical lessons (e.g. Science) Excellent organisational skills and high level of accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, take direction and work autonomously meeting deadlines Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve and resolve customer concerns Ability to communicate sensitively and confidentially with stakeholders in a skilful manner Provide examination and assignment management support where required Attend excursions/camps as required to provide individual support for students Attend faculty meetings and be confident to take initiative and put forward ideas and provide input on student needs Playground support or supervision of students Selection Criteria Requirements Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent as a minimum Current Paid Blue Card CPR & First Aid Qualifications an advantage Experience working with students individually and in small groups with specific learning needs and support plans Experience supporting classroom teachers and students in the classroom in core subject areas As a prospective member of the St Hilda’s Community, you will be willing to support the Code of Conduct and the stated values and Anglican Ethos of the School and have your name submitted to the Anglican Church’s Professional Standards Register.
