Warehouse Team Leader (6 month contract) — Ermington, Parramatta Area

ABOUT THE ROLE: Acting as a main support to the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Team Leader will ensure key warehousing tasks are completed by the Warehouse Operatives daily. This role will oversee the picking and despatching of customer orders, along with the goods receipt of finished goods from L’OCCITANE’s International. Key to this role is excellent team management, organisational and communication skills. The Warehouse Team Leader will be based at our Silverwater Distribution Centre and supervise a small team managing the day to day operations. This is a Full Time 6 month contract. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the daily operations to ensure key objectives are met e.g. order processing, goods receipt, outbound freight, kitting and WH&S. Team leadership – manage the DC team to ensure their performance and behaviour is in line with L’OCCITANE expectations. Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure workload is prioritised and executed accurately, effectively and efficiently. Train the team in warehousing best practice, ensuring any casual work force have the tools they need to perform their work accurately. WH&S – assist Warehouse Manager with ensuring compliance to all WH&S policies for the warehouse team and any visitors. Constantly assess skills and actions of the floor team, always leading by example. Continual monitoring of employee and visitor safety and immediate reporting of hazards and incidents. ABOUT YOU: Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work under pressure Proven ability to handle conflicting priorities Resilient and thrives in a fast paced environment Strong attention to detail Experience with Navision and/or SAP desirable PRE-REQUISITES: Advanced knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations Advanced knowledge of warehouse management applications e.g. Navision, SAP Previous experience with Department Store scan-pack methodology desirable Strong and professional customer focus Proven relationship building skills The ability to work in a positive manner within a team environment Open approach with the ability to give and receive feedback WHAT'S ON OFFER: A competitive salary including generous staff discounts & incentives at our retail stores!
