Position Overview As the Retail Manager at The Yiros Shop, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the store. You’ll be responsible for managing the retail and hospitality aspects of the business, including leading a dynamic team, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high food standards, and driving operational excellence. You’ll also work closely with the Assistant Restaurant Manager, collaborating to achieve sales targets, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of the store. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficient service, well-maintained stock levels, and a welcoming environment Lead, train, and motivate a young and energetic team to deliver outstanding customer service Drive sales and achieve targets through effective upselling, promotional activities and local area marketing Handle customer feedback professionally, ensuring a consistently positive guest experience Manage inventory control, ordering, and waste minimisation to meet business needs Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards Manage labour through rosters, staff onboarding, cash handling, and administrative duties, including opening and closing procedures Monitor team performance to ensure profitability through ongoing training, development, and achievement of KPIs The Right Candidate Must Have: Proven experience in managing a team in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment. Ability to motivate, lead, and develop a young, vibrant team, while setting and achieving goals. Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable experience for each guest. A strong understanding of food safety regulations, with the ability to enforce them in daily operations. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable with change and able to quickly adapt to new challenges as the business grows. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and store operations. Proven experience in training and developing staff to enhance team performance. A friendly, approachable attitude and a collaborative approach to working with a diverse team. A genuine passion for the fast-food industry, Greek cuisine, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
