Your Role As Senior Legal Counsel you will be a trusted partner to the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary and provide a broad range of legal support across the business. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with stakeholders on complex legal matters, spanning all areas of the law, with a particular focus on general commercial legal matters, privacy law and technology. You will be responsible for managing your own internal clients and matters autonomously, working collaboratively with stakeholders to provide practical advice and align legal compliance with commercial objectives to meet business priorities. Your Experience Minimum of 10 years’ PQE across general corporate and commercial law disciplines, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience gained in-house. Law degree and current practicing certificate in Victoria or New South Wales. An exceptional generalist toolkit with proven expertise in commercial law, data and privacy, technology and legal compliance (experience advising on Modern Slavery Statements desirable). Extensive experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex and bespoke strategic commercial agreements. Proven record of leading and navigating complex legal matters with an ability to quickly understand key issues and formulate commercially focused solutions to meet business objectives. Strong verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a practical and commercial manner). Experienced partnering with all areas of the business, including at an executive and senior leadership level. Ability to work autonomously, as well as develop strong relationships within cross functional teams and experience in mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team. Your Benefits!
